The Weicksel Lab is powered by the hard working, super inquisitive, and extremely talented undergraduates of Providence College.

The Spring 2017 Group managed to get the lab off the ground. Power tools were in abundance as the girls helped to design and build the fish system. Science came into play when they designed primers around the dpnII site in hoxba and hoxbb clusters. Towards the end of the semester, they began testing the primers, running gels, using the nano drop, mating fish, and collecting embryos. Without the efforts of these four, the lab would not be where it is today.

The Summer 2017 Group all received the Walsh Grant, allowing them to work in the lab for 10 weeks. They continued to test primers, design primers for 3C, run gels, try new protocols, and collect embryos.
